Rasam:
Ingredients:
- 2 medium tomatoes fnely chopped
- 4-6 curry leaves
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp hing
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 tsp rasam powder
- 2 cups cooked toor daal cooked with its water
- Ghee
Directions:
- In a pot heat 1 tbsp ghee. Add mustard seeds and let them pop. Next add cumin seeds and toast in oil for a few seconds. Add hing and curry leaves and then next add all the tomatoes.



- Add 2 cups water and rasam powder, turmeric, and cook the tomatoes in water until tender.

- Once tomatoes are cooked, add toor daal with the water and boil the rasam together for 2-3 minutes..


- Turn the stove off. Add juice of 1 lemon and chopped cilantro.

- Serve over rice or drink like a soup with ghee on top.
